BLAND, June Elizabeth (nee Morrissey) - It is with great sadness that we share the passing of June Elizabeth Bland (nee Morrissey) on Friday September 23, 2016 in her 78th year.
Wife and soulmate of Murray Bland and devoted mother to Grant (Jane), Keith (Kara Mia) and Mark (Jeana), loving grandmother to Aidan and Brooke and dear brother of Wayne (Helen), Don (Esther) and Doug (Bernice).
June was predeceased by her parents Donald and Bertha Morrissey.
June and Murray spent over 40 wonderful years together and enjoyed many happy times in Oakville, Wasaga Beach, Burlington and many other places their adventures took them. She loved animals, especially her dogs, nature, music and her family.
A reception in celebration of June’s life will be held at Dodsworth & Brown funeral home, Burlington chapel, Burlington at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday September 29th. Cremation has taken place.
A very special thank you to the thoughtful, caring staff at Creekway Village Nursing Home in Burlington and their exceptional care of June.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Parkinson Canada and the Burlington Humane Society.
