RICHARDS, Mary Anne Pearl - Mary Anne passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa as the result of complications from a fall, with family by her side on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at the age of 80 years.
She was the beloved wife of Maurice (Moe) Richards for 58 years.
The oldest child of the late Les and Pearl Smale.
Devoted mother of Linda (Mary) and Brett (Latifa). Loving grandmother of Akira, Nyla, Brady, Myles, Evan, Preston and the late Jolene. Great-grandmother to Trevor. Dear sister of Dennis (Sue) Smale.
Fondly remembered by the rest of her relatives and many friends.
Mary Anne worked for General Motors, Central Public School and James Publishing.
She was an active volunteer with the Bowmanville Lioness and Lions Clubs and Older Adult Association for many years.
Visitation will be held at the Morris Funeral Chapel, Bowmanville on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bowmanville Older Adult Association or the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
