Malandrino SharonMALANDRINO, Sharon Marie (Wigg, Campbell)

Sharon survived breast cancer 19 years ago.

She provided a loving home for her entire family, cared for and loved them throughout her entire life.

Sharon’s final battle was with metastasised cancer to her bones and liver, diagnosed this past December she succumbed to the disease peacefully on Friday August 31, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Though she gave a good fight her body unfortunately could not keep up. Sharon is at peace and will be loved and remembered by us all.

Loving wife to Diego Malandrino, much loved mother of Sharleen, Stacey and Leslie and adored step-mother to Matthew, Michelle and Stephanie.

Cherished Nana to Steffen (Sharleen/Marty), Hannah and Ethan (Stacey/Bert), Jadelynn and Clayton (Leslie/Denis), Luke and Evan (Michelle/Sean), Samuel (Stephanie/Damien)

Beloved sister to Ron and wife Fenia, Gail and husband Doug, as well as a dear cousin and friend to many.

Sharon was a strong beautiful person throughout her life raising three independent children who have found happiness in their own lives. She found love and was joyously remarried to Diego, celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary this year. They enjoyed trips, cottage life and grandchildren throughout their time together.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Sharon’s life at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, September 29th for a reception 1pm-5pm

The family would like to sincerely thank the Lakeridge Heath Oshawa and the Cancer Centre for treatment and care over the past few months and in her final days.  Also the Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre where she attended and received loving support and assistance.

Although Sharon has always loved gardens and gardening the family requests in lieu of sending flowers any donations that wish to be made go to the Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre https://hearthplace.org/ so they may continue to help and support others with cancer and their families.
