ZILSTRA, Duke – Suddenly on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at the age of 87.
Duke, beloved husband of Edith (née Vanderhoek) for 62 years.
Loving father of Dan (Janet), David (Marie) and Don (Carolyn).
Proud papa of 8 grandchildren.
Survived by his youngest brother Jan of the Netherlands.
Duke was a dedicated employee of General Motors in Oshawa for 32 years, a longtime member and Elder of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Whitby, and an avid gardener.
Visitation will be held at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby on Wednesday, September 12th from 7 – 9pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 209 Cochrane Street, Whitby on Thursday, September 13th at 11am. Interment to follow at GROVESIDE CEMETERY.
