NICHOLSON, Mae Mary  - (July 25, 1921 – November 1, 2018)

It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Mae Mary McDonald Nicholson (nee: Monie), on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the amazing age of 97.

Predeceased by her parents Annie (1961) and Willie Monie (1966).

Scottish immigrants to Canada, Mom was a first generation Canadian.

Predeceased by her brother Robert Monie (1992) and his wife Doris (1997), and her loving husband of 60 years, George Richard Nicholson (2004).

Mom is survived by “Her Doll”, daughter, Sandra Patterson Moore (Garry), “Her Boys”, grandsons Jeffrey and Steven Patterson, and the wonderful children that made her a great grandmother (GG), Emma Patterson; Sydney, Samantha and Jack Moore.  Will be remembered by her nephew David Monie (Donna).

Mom lived the past five years at Taunton Mills Retirement Home where the kindness and care given her was outstanding and we wish to thank everyone who worked with mom for the compassion and love they provided to her.

Mom lived a long and happy life having a wonderful extended family with all the aunts, uncles and cousins in Toronto and those in the United States and Scotland, friends in Toronto, Ottawa, Panama City Beach, Florida and Whitby.

She will be sorely missed by her family, especially her daughter.
