KANE, John  - (July 13, 1927 - December 5, 2018)

John slipped away to be with those he loved so dearly. He was the son of Hugh and Agnes Kane of Cabbagetown, Toronto.

He attended Park School and Central Technical School and it was at that time that he joined the 2nd Division R. CCS Reserve Army. After completing his schooling he worked for Colgate Palmolive for five years. He felt the lure of Bay Street and then joined the Brokerage Business where he spent the rest of his working life.

John was predeceased by his first wife, Norma (Brown). He is survived by his second wife Barbara and her daughter Tamara/Stephen Wambolt, step grandchildren Courtney and Sheldon/Molly and great-grandaughter, Sutton.

John enjoyed getting away to the cottage at 3 Mile Lake as well as many winters in Florida.

He moved to Wilmot Creek in 2001 and has supported the community he so enjoyed. John was proud of his Toronto roots and became an avid supporter of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Raptors.

He was a member of the YMCA and enjoyed a good hand ball game.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with Newcastle funeral home.

Donations in John's memory may be made to the  CHARITY of your choice.
