Callaghan JeannetteCALLAGHAN, Jeannette (Jean) Ethel   - Passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the comfort of her home.

She was born on July 13, 1929 in Stroud, England.

She and her late husband Andrew (Andy) Callaghan enjoyed over 58 years of marriage.

Jeanette was devoted to raising her five children, Patrick, Maureen, Shaun, Colleen and Erin.

She also spent her working years as a Customer Service Representative at Simpsons and Hudson’s Bay.

Jean lived her life to the fullest and the only thing she loved more than her family was her love of travel with Andy.

Their adventurous spirit took them around the world many times but their second home for many winters was Panama City, Florida.
Jeanette will be loved, remembered and survived by her three daughters Maureen, Colleen and Erin. Son-in laws Brad and Dave. Her grandchildren, Monique, Jimmy, Bevin, Brady, Carley, Shaelyn and Ryan.

Great-grandchildren Gerry, Chelsea, Justin, Danielle, Sarah, Molly, Kalum, Bailey and Eamon, and Jeanette’s brother Tony Webb, wife Jean, daughter Jackie and family.

You will always be in our hearts, minds and our thoughts.

We miss you, we love you but are comforted and at peace knowing you are in your rightful place in heaven. Love always.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Street Whitby on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 1:00pm.

A memorial service will follow at 2:30pm in the chapel.

The family would request that donations be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
