HARTWICK, Arthur "Art"  -  It is with heavy hearts that the family of Arthur Allan Hartwick announce his passing on January 18th, 2019 at the age of 89 years.

Art is lovingly survived by his daughters, Brenda (Wayne) Thaxter; Sharon (Tom) Shearer; Valerie Hanlon and his chosen daughter Brenda Chordis, dear Son in law, Ernest Hanlon; sisters, Lena and Georgina as well as his beloved grandchildren, April, Jaime, Mark, Rick, Katy, Lindsey, Amanda; Tim, Patrick and Justin as well as many great-grandchildren.

Art is predeceased by his loving wives; Evelyn Cook (1966) and Maye Hancock (2004) and very special friend; Peggy Charleton (2015), parents; Alice and George as well as his brothers Clifford; Harry; Jim and sister Irene.

Art was born in North York, Ontario on March 31st, 1929 where he grew up with his family and attended public school. Art was known to have a vibrant personality with a kind heart.

Art expressed his deep appreciation to the Cold Lake Home Care nurses and aids, as well as the staff at the Cold Lake Senior’s Lodge and wanted to thank each and every one of them for all they have done for himself and his family.

A Celebration of Life will be taking place on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019 at 11:00 am at Celebrate Life Funeral Services.

In leu of flowers, Art has asked for donations to be made to Cold Lake Home Care.

May we remember Art by one of his favorite songs “I’ve Been Everywhere Man” by Hank Snow, “He loved to travel. He has always been a gentleman” .
