White DoreenWHITE, Doreen Iris  - March 24, 1940February 14, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Doreen White (Johnston).

A wonderful caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend, at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, on Thursday February 14th, 2019.

She was the dearly beloved wife of Maxwell, loving mother of Terry-Lee (Mike) and Veronica (Kuba).

Cherished grandmother of Reagan, Phaedra, Kingsley and Kayden. Dear sister of Aileen Booth (William) and Dayle Evans (Bill). Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends, Marie Dwyer (Ed) and Patsy Ryan (Grogan).

Doreen was an advocate for Mental Health Awareness and volunteered with COPE in Whitby for over 10 years as well as being an active member of The Salvation Army and being involved in the church’s many charitable events.

Doreen was a wonderful, kind hearted lady to all and would always offer an ear to listen to anyone who needed her.

She left a lasting impression on anyone who met her.

She will be deeply and sadly missed.

Service will be held at Salvation Army, 710 Mc Quay Blvd, Whitby on Tuesday February 19th, 2019 at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Doreen’s name to Salvation Army and COPE Whitby.

Online condolences may be placed at courticefuneralchapel.com.
