BEATTIE, Steven Bruce  - Passed away peacefully at home, with family by his side, on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the age of 68, after a 2 year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Like his hero, Rocky Balboa, he fought hard to the last round and went the distance.

Beloved husband of the late Donna (nee Kahler) for 30 years. Loving father of Michelle, Chad (Betty) and Nicole (Brad). Proud Grampa to Jack, Max, Norah, Bo and Madison.

Cherished son of Ernestine and the late Albert. Survived by his sisters Brenda (Graham) and Elaine (Ian) and his beloved dog Frank.

Steven will be dearly remembered by all of his extended family and friends.

Steven’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful health care professionals who were there to provide him comfort, support and genuine care, with a special thanks to Emily, Dwayne, Dori, Cathy and Janine.

Resting at Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King St. W., with visitation to be held on Saturday, May 4 from 5-8 pm, and a service to take place on Sunday, May 5 at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.

A private family burial will take place in Cambridge at a later date, where he will be laid to rest with his wife.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Foundation Fighting Blindness are greatly appreciated.
