CLAUSEN, Kim Heinke - (February 21, 1970 - June 7, 2019)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kim at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday June 7, 2019, surrounded by love.
Kim was the loving daughter of Hermann and Inge (Schmidt) Clausen.
She will be forever remembered by her sister Hilke (Brad) Harper and her brother Derek (Dawn) Clausen.
Kim was the cherished aunt to Meghan (Roland) Vincent and Ryan Harper and proud great aunt to Lincoln, Jake and Jessie.
She is also survived by her uncle Gerd Clausen and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Germany and Sweden. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all of her family and many dear friends.
Kim was a dedicated, passionate and respected educator with the Durham District School Board. Her first years were spent teaching at Sherwood Public School and most recently she taught at Seneca Trail Public School.
She touched the lives of many throughout her 15-year teaching career and will be greatly missed by her colleagues and students.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY , 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (905-443-3376) on Saturday June 22nd at 3:00 p.m., with a reception to follow.
A private family interment will be held at later date.
If desired, donations in Kim's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Trillium Gift of Life Network.
