WALMSLEY, Christopher - After a brief and courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Christopher (Kris) Walmsley on June 9th, 2019, in his 58th year.
Kris was predeceased by his parents, Aldith Walmsley (nee Burley) and John (Jack) Walmsley of Oshawa, Ontario and brother-in-law David Barnes of View Lake.
Sadly he leaves behind his beloved wife Lisa (nee Barnes), stepson Dawson Jones, brother Michael (Jackie Fraser), sister-in-law Sally Lloyd (Doug Lloyd), sister-in-law Dolly Barnes, Aunt Sharon (nee Burley), many cousins, friends, and his beloved rescue cat Otis.
Kris was an outdoor Sales rep for CCS Industrials since February 2010. Prior to working for CCS, he worked for the family business of Walmsley – Judd. He was a remarkable, unique, kind person who was always genuinely concerned for others.
Lastly, a huge shout out to the staff on 4E and 2N at Ajax Hospital, for their kindness and support, facilitating Lisa and Kris's marriage within days of receiving the devastating prognosis.
Visitation will be held June 21, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Oshawa Funeral Home, followed by a service at 3:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation, 580 Harwood Ave South Ajax, ON L1S 2J4 or to AVA (Action Volunteers for Animals, via CanadaHelps.org).
