KENDRICK, Ronald Harold Kendrick - OPP Superintendent (Retired)
January 21, 1936 - June 27, 2019 Passed away peacefully on June 27, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Ajax, surrounded by his family following a short illness.
Ron is survived by Mary, his sweetheart and wife of 62 years, and his children Carol (Peter), Dan (Heather), Lynn (Randy) and John (Kim).
Ron is a proud “Grampa” to nine and “GG” to four and he will be greatly missed by all his “kids”.
Ron began his 30 year career with the Ontario Provincial Police in North Bay and Powassan, later transferring to general headquarters in Toronto and progressing through multiple levels to Superintendent until his retirement in 1990.
He and Mary enjoyed travelling and spending time with their family, and there are many found memories of winters in Florida and summers at their cottage.
A celebration of Ron’s life will take place on Saturday July 6 at 12:00 noon at Pickering Village United Church, 300 Church St. N., Ajax, Ontario. There will be a time for visitation prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the OPP Youth Foundation or PVUC are greatly appreciated.
