FARRUGIA, John Farrugia - 1936 - 2022 Passed away peacefully on March 19, 2022, at Lakeridge Health in Ajax Ontario, at the age of 85.
Loving husband of Jane and devoted father of Martes and Michael and proud grandfather of Evelyn.
Loving brother to Charlie, Joseph (deceased) & (Joyce), Frank, Anthony (deceased), Emanual & (Suzanne), Mary, Dominic & (Angela), Violet, Alfred & (Mary)(deceased) and their families; friends and family in Malta, England, USA and Canada.
John was a man who loved to joke around, the guy who invented dad jokes; the guy who when friends met him, reminded them of the best parts of their own Dad.
He enjoyed his music, all things football (soccer) and current events from all over the world.
He loved the interactions of more complex characters and never tired of Barney Miller reruns. He loved the sun, Siesta Key, the cottage, going to Malta and hanging out with his brothers and sisters.
He loved his wife Jane and took care of her with all his strength. His joviality was one side of him, and the other side was of a serious provider; a successful Canadian immigrant story, a hard worker with a no-nonsense drive for family security which he achieved.
He made a good life, and we know he wanted more of it! He loved Us.
And we love him. Rest in Peace, John.
The family will receive guests at the McEachnie Funeral Home, Ajax, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
