McCUAIG, Doris Alberta (McMillan) nee Risebrough  -  January 25, 1929 – August 18, 2022

Quietly at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Doris answered the call of the angels.

Recently a resident at Bon Air Nursing Home in Cannington, she will be missed by the staff there where she was always on the move.

Prior to her time at Bon Air, Doris was a long-time resident of Gamebridge and Beaverton. She had many interests including cooking, quilting, sewing, crocheting and paint.

She was an active member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Gamebridge, working with the ladies of the church and, for a time, as the church treasurer.

Doris is predeceased by husbands Ross McMillan and Tom McCuaig, by her daughter Rosilyn Fisher, by her sister, Marion Feasby (Lloyd predeceased) and sister-in-law Mary Steele (Ernie predeceased). She is survived by sister-in-law Betty Jean Wilson (David) and by her children, Ron McMillan (Barbara), Cathy Stiles (Ron), Ken McMillan (Kathy) and Gail Regic (Dan). Also survived by son-in-law, Creole Fisher.

Lovingly remembered as Nana by grandchildren Darryl Fisher (Heather), Warren Fisher (Kim), Carrie Harris (Chris), Jennifer West (Darren), Colin McMillan (Doris), Tim Swailes (Tonya), Alison Proser, Brad McMillan (Niky), Sarah Broadbent (R.J.), Jesse Regic, Ted Regic (Stephanie) and Wil Regic (Valerie) and 21 great grandchildren.

Fondly remembered by stepdaughters, Donna Clarke (Charlie Sherwood) and Elaine Vidler (Tom) and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff of Bon Air Nursing Home and of the Ross Memorial Hospital for all of the loving care provided to our mother in her final years and days.

Arrangements with the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton.  Memorial service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Gamebridge, on Friday August 26th at 2: 00P.M with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, Gamebridge.

If so desired memorial donations in memory of Doris to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
