HARKNESS, Gerry Harkness - 1942-2023
Of Pickering passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the age of 80.
Dearly loved husband of the late Joyce Harkness (Clements) (2008) and loved father of Scott (Lesley), Bonnie (Richard), and Kevin (Jodi).
Proud grandfather of Jesse, Sydney, Brynn, Ashlyn, Claire, Bryson, and Aiden.
Gerry was born March 31, 1942, in East York, Ontario, the son of the late Kenneth and Jessie Harkness.
He worked for many years in his father’s cartage business, Harkness Cartage, and enjoyed telling stories of his experiences delivering goods throughout southwestern Ontario.
Gerry enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly camping, which is a pastime all of his children and their families continue to enjoy.
The family will welcome visitations at McEachnie Funeral Home in Ajax, Ontario, on Thursday, February 16, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
