NICHOLLS, Kenneth Thomas  -

July 2, 1937 - April 3, 2023

It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Ken Nicholls surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.

Ken was the cherished partner of Joane Watts and predeceased by his beloved wife Eefje MacLean.

Deeply missed brother of Joan (the late John) and predeceased by his brother Eric (Joan).

Much loved Uncle of Stephen (Cindy), Brenda (Rainer), Leslie (Steve), Paul, Pam (John), Chris (Joanne), Ian (Patrizia) and 16 Great/Great-Great nieces and nephews.

Ken was born in Toronto to the late John and Vera Nicholls. He began working life at Toledo Scale and later found his calling at the Scarborough Fire Department where he worked for 30 years, retiring as acting District Chief.

Ken lived life to the fullest, even attaining his pilot’s license. He enjoyed his retirement filling his time with golfing, boating, gardening, motorcycling and travelling.  He was a great friend to many who were so important to him. Some were like family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Spencer Chau, Dr. Patricia Wong, Dr. Natalie Munn and the wonderful staff at Butternut Manor for their care and compassion in his final days.

A private family internment will take place at a later date
.
