McGEE, James  -  We are heartbroken to announce Jim’s peaceful passing on April 30, 2023 in his 80th year.

His family greatly blessed him in his homegoing.

Born in 1942 in Prince Edward Island, Jim connected with everyone with his sense of humour, kindness and love throughout his life.

Jim was very fond of his church family and took care of the church grounds for over thirty-five years. He also greatly enjoyed working the church sound system for over thirty years.

Little Blessings Nursery School he cared for daily for many years. Making the children laugh, doing repairs, doing whatever he could to be of service. He was dearly loved.

His life’s work was at General Motors participating in union capacities and in the last number of years as District Committee man. His kindness and thoroughness of task provided the workers with direction and support.

Retiring in 1994, he enjoyed his backyard garden and home. His family was his life and he will live on in them.

A special thanks to the caring team of nurses and Doctor Chong at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on 7C floor. His memory will be cherished forever.

Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eunice McGee; his daughters; Christine (Paul), Debbie (Jason), his grandchildren; Kailan (Kevin), Jacob (Amanda), Sarah (Kelly) and Rachelle (Dylan) and Natasha, his great grandchildren; Mila and Todd.
