MARTINIUK, John William Martiniuk   -  1950 - 2023

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Ajax on June 8, 2023.

Proud father of Allison, Michael (Jennifer), Kyle (Rena), and Katie.

Loving grandfather of Sienna, Emma, Claire, and Navy and great-grandfather of Princeton.

Predeceased by his parents (John and Anna Martiniuk).

John will also be remembered by extended family and friends.  John was a proud retired officer of the Toronto Police Service after 28 years on the police force.

After retiring, he worked for years in the Ontario court system where he used his smarts to passionately argue the law.

Outside of work, John was an avid sports fan and movie buff. He could often be found watching hockey at the arenas around town, the local pub, or in the comfort of his home. John was an accomplished pool player and a loyal competitor in leagues for many years.

John had a love for nature that he passed on to his children. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends in cottage country where he liked to fish.

John had a laid-back way about him and enjoyed meeting new people. He'll be remembered for his generosity, strong will, and interesting sense of humour.  He was one of a kind and will be truly missed.

Arrangements with McEachnie Funeral Home.
