McINTYRE, Garry Wayne  - Peacefully, on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at his home in Cannington with his family by his side, at age 72.

 

Survived by his wife and best friend of 52 years, Catherine (nee Wakelin).

 

Cherished father of Stephen (Christina), Jeffery, and Kristin (Jeremy).

 

Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Bailey, Wade, Ethan, and Paige.

 

Held in the hearts of his brothers John (Nancy), Lloyd (Shirley), and his sister Carol (Calvin).

 

Predeceased by his parents Ray and Doreen, his sisters Gayle and Connie, his brother Reg, and his niece Emmy. Forever in the hearts of his brothers-in-law Larry Wakelin (Ann), and Dave Wakelin (Ann), sister-in-law Cheryl Hill, and his many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

The family of Wayne McIntyre will receive friends at the Thorne Funeral Home, Cannington, on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 12 noon – 2 p.m. A Funeral Service to Celebrate his life will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with Reverend Elizabeth Cunningham officiating. Followed immediately by a Celebration of his life at the Cannington Legion until 6 p.m. Private interment.

 

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
