FLAMMINIO, Donna Elvina Flamminio
August 20, 1938 - July 22, 2023

Passed away peaceful at her home on July 22, 2023 at the age of 84 surrounded by her loved ones.

Donna was born in Toronto, ON to Mildred and James Webb. Soon after her family moved to Kinmount, ON and then to Peterborough, ON. She married Nick Flamminio and they moved to Oshawa, ON where she proudly raised her five beautiful children.

She will be sorely missed by her children: Nicky (Karla), Anna (Robert), Stephen (Jackie), Cindy (Stephen)and Chris (Rose). She was the proud grandmother of Christopher, Gena, Caitlin, Emily, Colin, Katie, Kyle, Paige, Hailey, Joey, Marianna, Abigail, Allison, Joseph, Linda, and Lily. Great grandmother to Lily, Jack, Connor, Logan, Eleara, Kaleb, Oliver, Eva, Taylor, Isabella, Montgomery and Remington. She will be missed by two special people: Sue Gillis and Barb Zealand.

Donna had many passions the most important being her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them at her beloved cottage on Balsam Lake. One of her biggest accomplishments was becoming a Registered Nurse at the age of 40. It was her dream to become a nurse at a very young age.

She decided to go back to school and had to upgrade her education starting in Grade 7. After graduating and nursing for a few years she furthered her education to become an amazing Coronary Care Nurse at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa.

She was optimistic, tenacious and always turned her adversities into great opportunities. She will be remembered for her keen sense of humor throughout her life. May she Rest In Peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby, ON on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 3-6 pm with tributes at 4:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region would be greatly appreciated.
