SHAUGHNESSY, Patricia Ann Shaughnessy -
JANUARY 6, 1949 – OCTOBER 11, 2023
Patricia Ann (Pat) was promoted to a Higher Order after a hard-fought battle with an unrelenting illness.
She passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the age of 74, surrounded by her dear friends and admiring children.
Pat was predeceased by her husband, Bryan, her parents Norma and Alexander, and siblings Ronnie and Lynn.
She is survived by her brother, Ross (Linda) Robertson.
Pat personified selfless service. She cherished 47 years with her loving husband, Bryan.
She dedicated her life to her family, moonlighting as a taxi driver, short-order cook, CFO, first responder, party host, teacher, tour guide, comforter, protector, and referee. Her children, Erin (Bill) Geraghty, Sean (Anna), Kevin (Kate), Kate (David) Ingram, and Paul, will sorely miss her spirited conviction and unwavering support.
The carefully curated photo albums in her home were a reflection of the immense pride and adoration she had for her grandchildren, Kieran, Leah, and Emily; James and Evan; Hannah, Lochlan, and Braden; and Oliver and Jack.
She had a similar life-long passion for her volunteer work, contributing endless hours to so many varied causes and community organizations. Pat embodied resilience, strength, and fortitude, and these qualities undoubtedly sustained her through her courageous battle in her final months.
Mom was our most passionate supporter, our charismatic matriarch, our steadfast friend and our irreplaceable hero, and we are comforted knowing that her next chapter will be in the company of Dad.
