TOLE, Allan Robert Tole “Bob” -

May 8, 1925 – October 22, 2023

Bob passed away peacefully at Crown Ridge Place on October 22, 2023, with his daughter Chris at his side.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Eleanor in 2007, after over 61 years of marriage.

Lovingly remembered by his children David (Arda, predeceased), Chris (Bert) Loveless and Al (Vicki), 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, with another great grandchild on the way.

He loved to hear from each one, even if he couldn’t keep them all straight at times.

Bob loved his music. He sang in the choir at First Baptist Church in Oshawa for over 73 years. He was a Barber Shopper for 35 years and sang for several years in The County Town Singers in Whitby.

For many years he helped with the Sweet Adelines as their stage director and was given an honourary membership.

In the last few years he had a few illnesses that he was able to recover from. He’d lose some ground each year and this time God called him Home.

During COVID he lived 14 months with his daughter, then moved to Seasons Retirement Home to be with others his age for 2 years.

Recently though he moved to Crown Ridge Place, but didn’t get much of a chance to get to know many people. Thank you to both Seasons and Crown Ridge for the wonderful care he received.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 29th at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 812 Hortop Street, Oshawa with visitation at 2 pm and service at 3 pm. Reception will follow.

Memorial Donations may be made to First Baptist Church.
