SENIOR, Albertine Cynthia Senior  -

January 1942 - October 2023

 

Cynthia Albertine Senior, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away peacefully on October 23rd, 2023, at the age of 81.

 

Cynthia was born on January 14, 1942, in Treasure Beach, Jamaica to Vida Senior and John Senior.

 

She is survived by her two children Leeroy James (Doreen) and Lorna Capano.

 

She is the beloved grandmother to five grandchildren Roberto Gonzalez, Alyssa James, Jordan James, Ryan Sitahall and Alicia Sharpe.

 

She is survived by her sister Izonie (Zonie) James and predeceased by her siblings Leva James, Ralph (Raleigh) Senior, Uriel Senior, Kenford Senior, Leonard (Cleaver) Senior, Dorothy Simpson, John (Knol) Senior. Cynthia’s legacy is one of love, strength and devotion.

 

Cynthia was a very loyal, dedicated and hardworking woman.

 

She committed years of her life working, last as an inspector at Magna, where her diligence and expertise made a lasting impact. Her contributions and commitment to her work were exemplary, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends.

 

Later on during retirement, she decided to obtain her insurance license, a testament to her strong work ethic and determination.

 

Cynthia was a devoted Christian, and was strong in her faith.

 

She lived a life that was a testament to her unwavering commitment to the Lord. She was a Missionary at The Shilo Redemption Pentecostal Church in Pickering, Ontario.

 

Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life’s challenges and triumphs.

 

Cynthia consistently exemplified the values of teachings of her faith, showing kindness, compassion, and love to all those fortunate enough to know her.

 

In recent years after being diagnosed with early onset dementia, Cynthia continued to exemplify love, kindness and devotion to her family.

 

She continued to practice and be strong in her Christian faith. She faced the illness with remarkable resilience, never losing her humour and kind spirit. She spent her final two years at The Wexford Residence, where she was surrounded by compassionate people that provided her with care and support.

 

Cynthia’s strength in the face of adversity taught those around her the true meaning of bravery. Cynthia Senior will always be remembered as a loving, generous and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

 

She was a devoted soul who left an undeniable mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her.

 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, located at Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Ave., Ajax from 6:00pm to 8:00pm; Followed by a service on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 at Pickering Pentecostal Church, 1920 Bayly St, Pickering from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
