JULY 17, 1939 – OCTOBER 30, 2023

 

Don passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, October 30th, 2023, in his 85th year.

 

The eldest son of the late Ken and Catherine MacKinnon.

 

Beloved husband of the late Carol Egan.

 

Dear brother of the late Mary-Jean (Don) and Beth (Bob).

 

Loving father of Doug (Rhonda), Keith (Allyson) and Norm (Jan).

 

Cherished grandfather of Caytlin (Shawn), Tyler (Jess), Shannon, Lachlan (Rebecca), Brett, Sarah and Patrick, and Great Grampa of Amelia –Grampa up.

 

Don was a man of many talents. He was hardworking and operated his own dry cleaning business for over 25 years. He was married for 62 years and raised three hardworking sons.

 

Don enjoyed travelling with his wife and friends in his retirement years. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sarcasm and his sense of humour.

 

He joked with us all right to the end. He always put a smile on your face. He will live on forever in our hearts with love and great memories.
