OCTOBER 10, 1982 – OCTOBER 29, 2023
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Valerie on Sunday October 29th, 2023, at the age of 41 years.
Beloved daughter of Barbara Gavin, Eric Rideout and Glen Gale (Jennette).
Loving mother of Angel (Brian) and Hunter. Dear sister of Chad (Pamela), Michael (Theresa), Dylan (Shannon), and Faith (Eric).
Cherished granddaughter of late Cecil Gavin (Marie), Late Claude Gale (Late Edna).
Will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Valerie was an incredibly caring and giving person to all those around her.
She was incredibly selfless and always put the wellbeing of others before her own.
Valerie faced a lot of obstacles in life but that never stopped her from doing all she could for those around her. Even on her worst days she would find ways to make those around her smile with her quirky, and sometimes over the top, sense of humour.
She was the brightest light in the room and you couldn’t help but be drawn to her.
Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME (847 King Street West) on Thursday November 9th, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral services in the chapel at 1:30 pm.
Valerie’s family and friends were her world and she would have done everything and anything for them, so now we ask if you could do the same for her and help alleviate her children and family of this financial burden in any way you can.
