STAPLES, Sharon Staples - In the early hours of Saturday, December 9th, Sharon Staples passed away peacefully after a short, but determined, battle with cancer.
Sharon was born on September 9, 1946 in Bowmanville.
She was raised in Orono on the Tamlane Farm by her parents, Carlos and Mary Tamblyn, along with her brothers Bill and Paul.
Sharon is survived by her incredible husband of 53 years, David Staples.
Sharon attended Peterborough Teacher’s College.
She later met David teaching at Lord Elgin Public School in Bowmanville, where she taught for 33 years.
Sharon touched the lives of so many students and colleagues.
Sharon is also survived by her two wonderful children, Aaron and Alecia, who carry on the teaching legacy, and their respective partners, Megan and Jonathan.
She is also survived by her two beautiful grandchildren, Oliver and Elliott, who were the light of her life. We’ll celebrate Sharon’s remarkable life and legacy at a celebration of life in the spring of 2024.
