It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary Rea (McDermaid) at Hillsdale Terraces, with family by her side.
Proud mother of Charles Scarrow (deceased), Carolyn Chard, Donna McMurter, Diane (late Alec) McLuckie and stepdaughter Greta (Brad) Davis.
Cherished Grandmother to Susan (Andrew) Rennert, Heidi Chard & Eric Toussaint, Amanda (Mandy) Chard (deceased), Eric McMurter & Alex Kaulback and Jessica Davis.
Much loved Great Grandmother to Jenna (Shaun) Hadley, Hailey Chard, and Hadley Taylor.
Mum will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Predeceased by her parents James and Ethel Scarrow, an infant brother, twin sister Agnes “Mildred” (Cecil) Carson, husbands William McDermaid, Andy Rea and Leonard Ovenden.
Mum will be greatly missed and always held close in the hearts of those who loved her.
The family is appreciative for the many expressions of support and kindness from wonderful friends and family members.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hillsdale Terraces Long Term Care for their kind support and compassion in caring for Mum over the past several years.
As per Mum’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service.
