CUSHINAN, Agnes Theresa Cushinan -
JANUARY 6, 1928 – JANUARY 9, 2024
Passed away peacefully at Ballycliffe Long Term Care on January 9, 2024 in her 96th year.
Predeceased by her husband George and her children Kathleen, Patrick and Maureen.
Loving mother to Joanne, Laurie, Michael, George Jr., Theresa and Patricia.
Cherished grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Agnes will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A special Thank You to the staff at Ballycliffe Long Term Care, you all have been her guardian angels.
God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So He closed His arms around you And whispered “Come to Me”.
You did not deserve what you went through
And so he gave you a rest,
God’s garden must be beautiful For he only takes the best.
In time we saw you sinking We watched you fade away,
Our hearts were almost broken,
You fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peacefully from pain,
We could not wish you back,
To suffer that again.
If you had spoken before you died,
These are the words you’d have replied
“Weep not for me,
but courage take and love one another for my sake”.
Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, 905-721-1234 on Sunday, January 14th, from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 15th, at 10:30 a.m.
