MUNDY, Joseph (Joe) Hugh Mundy - On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, Joseph (Joe) Hugh Mundy [of Scarborough, ON], passed away [in Whitby] at the age of 79.
Joe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Nora Mundy (Irving) and his children David McGorman (Lisa Friedland) of Calgary, AB, Christopher (Rena) Mundy of Southlake, TX, and Laura Wells (John Hartford) of Oshawa, ON.
He will be missed by his seven grandsons Jordan (Christine) and Jake McGorman, Kyle, Dylan and Scott Mundy and Joshua and Brayden Wells. Dear brother to J. Michael (Pam) Mundy and Mary Helen (Ray) Morreale of Sarnia.
He was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Helen Mundy of Sarnia and his brother Charlie Mundy of Sarnia. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, Joe built a successful career at IBM for over 30 years. Outside of work, Joe found joy in pursuing his hobbies and interests.
As an avid golfer, lifelong bridge player, and competitive curler, he was always up for a challenge. He was also keen to cheer on his favourite teams: Blue Jays, Leafs, Raptors and Bills.
