It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed (EDDY M) on Saturday April 22, 2017 due to complications from diabetes surgery.

Ed was the dearly beloved husband of Marie (Smykal) for over 43 years.

Predeceased by parents John and Rose, brother Bernie (Lauraine).

Loving father of Christine Burns (Greg), Angela Mazurkiewich and “special Dad” to Theresa and Steve Sincich.

Loved brother-in-law of Fran Johnston (Gerry, deceased).

Cherished Grandfather of Samantha and Stephanie Burns. “Special Grandpa” to Calvin, Katelyn and Kristen Sincich. Loved uncle to Heather Smyth (John), great-uncle to Cassandra and Shannon Smyth. Also, loved uncle to Shelley Hilditch (Rob) and Jay Johnston (Michelle), great-uncle to Casey Hilditch, Madison Johnston, Tanner Johnston, Kyle Bollers. Ed was a G.M. retiree with over 34 years of service.

Ed was also one of the founding members of the local rock and roll band, The Lincolnaires.

His best friend Frank Surette, is another founding member. The absence of Ed will be felt by all who ever attended the dances and concerts over the past nearly 60 years.

The family of Ed (EDDY M) Mazurkiewich would like to invite family and friends to celebrate Ed’s life.

The celebration will take place at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #43, 471 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa, ON, on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Memory time at 3:00 p.m.

Casual dress.
