OBrien PaulineO’BRIEN, Pauline (nee MacNeil)  - Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15th, 2017 in her 74th year, after a brief illness.

Predeceased by her parents Paul and Vivian MacNeil, she is survived by her loving family; husband Michael O’Brien, daughter Paula Hargraves (Les), as well as her grandchildren Lauren, Jessica and Nathaniel.

She will be sadly missed by her siblings Larry MacNeil (Andrea), Vivian, Bernadette (Ted) and Julia (Rob).

She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.

Pauline was a dynamic and outgoing person who had an infectious laugh and great sense of humour. She was an extremely positive person and believed that anything can be achieved. She made friends with everyone she met, both socially and at work, and was highly respected.

She had a great love for her family, decorating, dancing and loved to organize social events with family, friends and co-workers.

Unfortunately, Pauline suffered a brain aneurysm on December 12, 1994. This left her a very different individual compared to how we knew her. This new side of her was dependent and needed help, but was still just as loving.

She slowly declined, but managed to survive for another 22 years with the help of Michael, Paula, the PSW’s and staff with CCAC.

Special thank you to the nurses and Dr. Dominguez at the Lakeridge Ajax Pickering Hospital during the last couple of months of her life.

Please join us at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME Family Centre where we will be having a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, May 27th from 11:00 – 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Durham Region Humane Society at http://www.hsdr.org/donations would be appreciated by the family.
