      Ontario Junior Hockey League, Whitby Fury Junior A Hockey Club, in conjunction with Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, invite the community to sign a guestbook of condolence at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby in memory of the players and team personnel who lost their lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

    The book will be available daily from  9 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Monday, April 23rd, at which time the book will be sent to the OJHL offices to be sent to the team in Saskatchewan

Hockey sticks will be donated to support minor hockey in our community.

As well, OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL and DIGNITY MEMORIAL will make a donation to support Minor Hockey for every stick collected.

Delves NaydeeneDELVES, Naydeene - December 8, 1929 - July 9, 2017

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Naydeene (nee Challes) on Sunday, July 9th, 2017 at Thorntonview Long Term Care Nursing Home at the age of 87 years.

She was predeceased by her husbands Kenneth Delves and Kenneth Hazelton. Cherished mother of Marie Snelgrove (Albert) and much loved grandmother of Kelly McNenly (Brad) and Jason Quenneville (Dawn), Michael Snelgrove and Liz Peterson.

Adoring great grandmother of Cheyenne and Aaron McNenly, Brianna Peterson, Cody Albert, and Lauren, Dillon and Mia Snelgrove.

Predeceased by her parents James and Maude Challes and her beloved only sister Isabelle Teal.

Naydeene be sadly missed by the Delves, Teals, Snelgroves and Hazelton families.

A special thank you to the staff at Thorntonview Pinegrove, especially Dr. Reid and Dr. Hasan and RPS’s Kavita, Natalie and Kerry. Also PSW’s Debbie, Sharon, Jen, Lindsey, Savita and others too many to mention.

Due to Naydeen’s wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 (471 Simcoe St. South, Oshawa) on Saturday, July 22nd from 1 – 4 p.m.

Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King Street West (905-721-1234).

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
