      Ontario Junior Hockey League, Whitby Fury Junior A Hockey Club, in conjunction with Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, invite the community to sign a guestbook of condolence at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby in memory of the players and team personnel who lost their lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

    The book will be available daily from  9 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Monday, April 23rd, at which time the book will be sent to the OJHL offices to be sent to the team in Saskatchewan

Hockey sticks will be donated to support minor hockey in our community.

McEachen BryanMcEACHEN, Bryan Patrick Joseph  - Bryan McEachen, of Whitby, Ontario, passed away on August 15th, 2017, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 78.

Bryan was born in Témiscaming, Quebec on March 17th, 1939.

He was married to Diane Morin on August 3rd, 1963 in Ottawa; they were joyfully married 54 years.

Bryan was a dedicated employee of Algoma Steel for 40 years. He cherished his family, was a trusted friend, and an avid sports fan ─ Go HABS; Go Jays!

Bryan is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Diane and children Paul, Laura, Leanne and Maryellen McEachen (Brian Reekie), treasured grandchildren Sydney and Reagan McEachen and James and Rachel Reekie in Scotland, dear brother Reginald McEachen (Loretta) and sisters in-law Ruth McEachen and Maureen Morin, and many loved nieces and nephews and other dear family and friends.

Bryan is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Colleen Donohue (Sylvester) and brother Weldon McEachen and sister in-law Gladys Walker (John) and brothers-in-law Clifford Morin (Norma) and Robert Morin (Sheila).

Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, August 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST PARISH (903 Giffard Street, Whitby) on Saturday, August 19th at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow the funeral at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (355 Taunton Rd E., Whitby).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the CHARITY of your choice.
