Malachowski BoleslawMALACHOWSKI, Boleslaw “Brian”  – Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday August 20th, 2017, in his 93rd year.

Beloved husband of Krystyna.

Loving father to Helena (Jean-Pierre) and stepfather to John (Bozena), Zbigniew (Karen) and Richard.

Beloved grandfather of Meghan (Adam), Melissa (Jeff), Matthew, Victoria, Thomas and Emma.

Predeceased by his son David.

Boleslaw retired from General Motors after 40 years of dedicated service.

He served in WWII, was a lifelong member of the General Sikorski Polish Veterans Association, and was an usher at St. Hedwig’s Church.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff on 6G and 4F at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their compassionate care.

A special thank you is extended to all the staff at Thorntonview Long Term Care for the exceptional care, compassion and love shown to Boleslaw during the past 6.5 yrs.

Visitation will be held at  ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, (124 King St E) on Wednesday August 23rd from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Parish prayers will be held Wednesday at 8pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church on Thursday August 24th, 2017 at 11am.

Memorial donations to St. Hedwig’s Church or The Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
