      Ontario Junior Hockey League, Whitby Fury Junior A Hockey Club, in conjunction with Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, invite the community to sign a guestbook of condolence at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby in memory of the players and team personnel who lost their lives in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

    The book will be available daily from  9 a.m. - 8 p.m. until Monday, April 23rd, at which time the book will be sent to the OJHL offices to be sent to the team in Saskatchewan

HumboldtStrong BannerA book of remembrance and support has been placed in the lobby of the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME for residents of Oshawa, Whitby and Clarington. This will be sent to the community of Humboldt to show our support and solidarity.

Hockey sticks will be donated to support minor hockey in our community.

As well, OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL and DIGNITY MEMORIAL will make a donation to support Minor Hockey for every stick collected.

Ambra MariaAMBRA, Maria Francesca (nee Cappuccitti) - (October 18th, 1921 – August 27th, 2017)

Passed peacefully at Hillsdale Estates Sunday, August 27th, 2017 at the age of 95.

Predeceased by her husband Antonio and brothers Guiseppe, Vincenzo and Armando.

Survived by her brother Donato and sister-in-laws Maria and Emma.

Loving mother of Rocco and daughter-in-law Kathy. Nona to Robert (Sean) and Teresa.

Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassion shown by the staff at Hillsdale Estates (Golden Pond).

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, August 30th from 1 – 3 and 5 – 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa) on Thursday, August 31st at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to Grandview Children’s Centre or a CHARITY of your choice.
