With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Dot Smith on November 1, 2017 at her home in Lindsay.
Loving and devoted wife to Larry for over 50 years.
Proud mother of Penny Smith-Akerman and beloved mother-in-law to Murray Akerman. Sister to Faye Fish, Bruce Fish and the late Joyce Jacob (Ron).
Dot will also be missed by her extended family, friends and all who knew her.
Long-time employee of General Motors, Dot was an avid reader and enjoyed the outdoors, travel and life - period. She loved her family, living every moment to the fullest, and will always be remembered.
Join the family at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Rd, Whitby, 905-443-3376, on Saturday November 4, 2017 for visitation from 6-9pm.
A memorial service will be held at Queen Street United Church, 55 Mary St, Lindsay, on Monday November 6, 2017 at 1:00pm followed by reception.
Dot will be laid to rest at Mount Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Queen Street United Church.
