Champagne LionelCHAMPAGNE, Lionel  - March 24, 1933 - November 22, 2017

IT IS WITH OUR DEEPEST HEARTACHE, THAT THE FAMILY ANNOUNCES THE PEACEFUL PASSING OF LIONEL CHAMPAGNE IN HIS 84TH YEAR AT HIS HOME ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2017.

HE WAS SURROUNDED BY HIS CHILDREN AND FAMILY BY HIS SIDE.

LIONEL WAS BORN ON MARCH 24TH, 1933 IN QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC. THE LORD HAS REUNITED LIONEL WITH HIS WIFE PASQUALINA, HIS MOTHER ADRIENNE BRUNEL AND FATHER J. ALFRED CHAMPAGNE AND BROTHER PAUL AND SON-IN-LAW NICHOLAS PANASKY.

OUR FATHER WAS PASSIONATELY DEVOTED TO HIS FAMILY AND DEEPLY ADORED ALL HIS CHILDREN. HE WILL BE LOVINGLY REMEMBERED BY HIS DAUGHTERS, LILLIANA (VINCENZO), LAURA (RICHARD), ANITA (ODEL), HELENA, LINDA, LENA (PETER) AND SONS RICHARD AND ANTHONY. HIS SISTERS MARIE (GILLES),GISELE AND ALLHIS NEICES AND NEPHEWS.

GRANDPA WILL BE DEARLY MISSED BY ALL HIS GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND HIS BELOVED DOG BEAR BEAR.

LIONEL WAS A RETIREE OF GENERAL MOTORS AND ENJOYED BEING A PART OF THE SENIORS CLUB. LIONEL WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, AS HE TOUCHED THE LIVES OF MANY WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL SMILE AND WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR.

THE FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS THEIR SINCERE APPRECIATIOIN AND GRATITUDE TO LAKERIDGE PALLIATIVE HEALTHCARE TEAM NURSE CASSANDRA. COMMUNITY CARE DURHAM (RESPITE) GILDA & SANDRA, AND PSW CAREGIVER DARLENE SMITH WHO OUR FAMILY DEVELOPED A VERY SPECIAL FRIENDSHIP.

THE FAMILY WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK ALL THEIR FRIENDS FOR THEIR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS DURING THIS TRYING TIME.

FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME OSHAWA, FOR VISITATION ON THURSDAY NOVEMBER 30TH FROM 2PM – 4PM & 6PM – 8PM.
