BERRY, Sandra “Sandy”  - February 26, 1946 – January 31, 2018

Family and friends lost a wonderful, caring and compassionate friend on January 31, 2018 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital in her 72nd year.

Sandy rests in comfort and peace as a fierce 9 year warrior of cancer. She was so courageous. Predeceased by her parents Betty and Bert Moore and sister, Anne Richmond. Survived by sister in-law Sylvia (George), niece Stephanie and her family and nephew Scott and his family.

She will also be missed by her best friend, Jayne Taylor.

Sandy loved her home and was very proud of her gardens and grass. Even when she was so ill, it was not unusual to see her weeding. Thank you to her friends that came to be with her at the hospital. Special thanks to Jodi and Julie for round the clock sitting, Boyd for your prayers and blessings; to the Troyer and Friesen families, you were always there for her and she appreciated it so much.

To Ann Wood and Brock Pollock, she thought the world of both of you. Thank you to the doctors, staff and nurses at Southlake Cancer Centre. Thanks to the McQueen and Martin families for their care and concern. Sandy was a former employee of TD Bank (Markham), St. John’s Training School and currently employed by Kumon. She was also a caregiver to the late David McQueen.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements with Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge.

In memory of Sandy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
