MacKAY, Shirley Evva (nee Smith)  - Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville.

Shirley was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Toronto to marry her first husband Jervis John Sheplawy.

Together they had 4 children, Patricia Boultbee, Linda Woodcock, Wendy Beemer and Sharon Van Derkorput.

After John passed on, Shirley married Robert Mackay and together had one child, Robert Scott.

Over her life Shirley worked in a newspaper office and she worked as a data processor.

She was an avid stamp collector and spent time doing jigsaw puzzles, knitting and crocheting.

She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Ethan, Adam, Kaleb (Jasmine), Nicholas, Gary (Taylor), Shantelle, Jeffrey (Amber-Jane), Etienne, Brett, Justine, Tamara and Bryce.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, her sister Audrey, brother Stan and daughter Wendy.

Her ever present offer of a cup of tea, her hugs and her sense of humour will be remembered.

We are missing you already mom.  Arrangements with Newcastle Funeral Home.
