SALWAY, Margaret Evaline (nee Young) - On March 21, 2018 at Oshawa General Hospital
It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of our mother, Margaret Evaline Salway, on March 21, 2018, just shy of 95 years of age.
Marg will be sadly missed by children Shirley, Karen, Janice, David and Craig, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two and a half great-great-grandchildren.
Marg was the third child of Lucy Ann Hawes Young and Frederick Kennedy Young, and was predeceased by twin brothers Gordon Young of Red Deer, Alberta, and John “Jack” Young of London, Ontario, and by her husband, Morton “Monte” Salway.
She is survived by a younger sister, Velma Rankin (nee Young), of Brandon, Manitoba.
A WW II veteran (C.W.A.C. 1942-1946), Marg was married in Calgary and raised her childrenin Oshawa.
She worked at Sears for 18 1/2 years.
A private, family service will be held, and cremation and interment will be at Mount Lawn Cemetery.
