STEPHENSON, Audrey - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful death of Audrey Stephenson at the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket on Saturday March 24, 2018 at the age of 67 after a long fight with cancer.
She is dearly loved by her husband, Robert Stephenson, her daughters Kristin Steves (Gerry) and Robin Suh (Dan) and her sister in law, Barbie.
Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Katie, Jacob and Ben, who will all miss their beloved Ma. Audrey was born in Scotland and came to Canada with her parents when she was 7 years old. She grew up in Timmins, Ontario and moved to Toronto when she met Bob and started her family. Over the years she had many jobs, many of which related to her creative outlets.
She had a joy of cooking and a passion in the kitchen which she has passed down to her girls. She loved to spend time in the garden and always enjoyed the smell of fresh flowers in the house. Audrey had a special place in her heart for animals, and will now be reunited with her beloved Magic.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cindy So and the many wonderful caregivers Audrey had at Southlake and the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Audrey’s Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Margaret Bahen Hospice, Newmarket.
