Metcalfe RonMETCALFE, Ron  - November 9, 1945 - April 19, 2018

After a bravely fought 10 1/2 month lengthy battle, Ron passed peacefully with Betty, his loving wife of 47 years, holding tight, and other family members by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 73rd year.

Lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law, David Sarnovsky and his wife, Joyce, their daughters Eva, Jessica and Liara, who held a very special place in her Uncle Ron’s heart.

Predeceased by his Mother, Anne Driver (the late Keith) and Father Reginald (the late Wanda) and brother Terry (Leona). Ron leaves behind a son, Brent (Andrea), Granddaughter Leesha (Brian) and Grandson Zack (Tasha).

Also a brother, Barry (Cheryl), a sister, Pauline, a brother Kevin and sister Belinda (the late Robert). Ron will be missed by many other Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews and very special friends. Ron was an employee of General Motors for over 41 years, starting in the ‘boy’s group’.

As per Ron’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Ron’s life at MOUNT LAWN FUNERAL HOME 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (N of Hwy #2) 905 443-3376 on Friday May 11th, 2018 from 11 - 1 p.m.

Interment of Ron’s cremated remains to follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery.

If you wish, you may make a donation in Ron’s name to Lakeridge Health Oshawa, the Diabetes Society, Sick Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
