REYNEN, Louis - (August 25, 1926 – May 7, 2018) -
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, May 7th, 2018, at the age of 91 years.
Devoted husband of Nelly for 63 years.
Cherished dad of Patty and her husband Ron Weir, Cathy, and Peter and his wife Linda.
Proud Opa of 6 grandchildren; Mike (Julia), Marisa, Greg (Brittany), Elizabeth (Trevor), Amy (Robert), and Ashley (Dylan). Proud great Opa of Max and Nell.
Louis was the fifth of 12 children. Born in Gemert, Netherlands. Survived by two brothers Gordon and John and one sister Theresia.
Travelled with the Dutch armed services in Indonesia and Korea. Immigrated to Canada in 1952 and ultimately settled in Oshawa and Whitby.
Louis enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family at the cottage on Belmont Lake.
Memorial visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME 847 King St., West, (905-721-1234) on Thursday, May 17th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life service will take place in the chapel on Friday, May 18th at 11:00 am.
