DAIGLE, Ed   - Dear Friends, I had a wonderful, rich life, but all good things must come to an end.

On July 2, 2018 from my home in Prince Albert, Ontario, I sailed on to my next adventure.

I was born Edward John Daigle on May 20, 1931 in Hampton, New Brunswick to Margaret (nee Bernard) and Alfred Daigle, the 8th of 11 children.

My surviving siblings are Tony, Edna, Ruth (Jim), and David (Shirley).

In 1937, our family moved to Norton where I had many fond memories of my childhood. I was always very proud of my Acadian heritage and my family, and later wrote a memoir of our childhood, "Memories: Norton and Beyond".

The first in my family to graduate from high school, I later moved to Toronto and have spent the last 43 years in Prince Albert, Ontario, an active member of the Prince Albert United Church.

I have great affection for the past and present members of The Borelians of Port Perry. I am so grateful for the love and devotion from my wife of over 50 years, Catherine (nee Clarke). Marrying Cathy was the best thing I ever did. Thank you, darling.

My daughter Charlene (Ravi) and son Max (Stacey) have given us three wonderful grandsons: Lucas, Theo, and Ty. It has been a pleasure to watch them grow into fine young men. I am so proud of all my nieces and nephews from down east and beyond.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6th at 1 p.m. at Prince Albert United Church. Visitation is at 12 noon. The celebration will continue next door at the Prince Albert Community Hall with music, food and drink. Please join us!.
