CRAIG, Betty  - It is with a very heavy heart the family announces the sudden passing of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Betty Craig (Sheppard, nee Bywater) at the age of 84 on Friday, June 29, 2018 with family by her side.

Born in Orillia on July 31, 1933, Betty was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Marjorie Bywater and by her siblings Jack, Dorothy (Filipetti), Mary (Olimer) and Barry.

Survived by her youngest brother Blaine (Cookie).

Betty will be deeply missed by her loving husband Leonard (Len) and by her children, Patti, Paul (Tish), John (Miranda). Step-mother to Scott (Deb) and Tim.

She was the very proud nanna to Chris (Jess), Jennifer, Amanda, Mathew, Nicole, Bobbi, Cullan and Shaylynn as well as great-grandmother to 4 great-grandchildren. She was a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews and a cherished friend.

The family is especially grateful for the compassionate care she received from the many nurses and staff at Lakeview Manor since she arrived there in December.

A private family service, interring Betty's ashes to her mother's graveside in Orillia, has taken place. Celebration of life to take place in the Fall.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

"There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts."
