Mason LorraineMASON, Lorraine - Lorraine is now resting peacefully.  She passed away on July 11, 2016 at Sheridan Villa in Mississauga at the age of 83. 

Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Donald Miller Robinson Mason.

She will be greatly missed by her children Steven (Dawn), Debbra (Craig) ,Laura (Rick) and Scott (Andrea), her grandchildren Amanda (Scott), Philip (Mary), Kiilea, Joshua (Alicia), Matthew (Natalie), Liam (Ruth), Zebulon, and Hannah, her great grandchildren Brandon, Sarah, Kacen, Octavio, Bodhi, and Everet, her siblings Norma (Alfred), Warren, and Brian, and several generations of nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was born in Toronto, met Donald at Kodak and they were married in 1953. They lived for almost 40 years in the town of Streetsville. 

Summers were always spent in the Parry Sound area.  Lorraine and Don retired to Wellington in 1999. Lorraine loved to take long walks, no matter what the weather, and was a familiar face in the neighbourhood. She was also a voracious reader and enjoyed volunteering at the Wellington-on-the-Lake Library. 

Lorraine was widely known for her engaging smile. Lorraine’s spirit and determination were evident throughout her life and instilled in her children. Lorraine took great pride in her family.  Over the years she enjoyed working with the public as a teacher, secretary, cashier, and hospital volunteer.

The family would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sheridan Villa, Oakville Trafalgar Hospital and Martindale Gardens.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 19th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at  McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, Milton. 

A funeral service will take place at Grace Anglican Church, 317 Main St E, Milton on July 20th at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s association.
