Gluck JeanGLUCK, Jean - Peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, on Friday, October 14, 2016, Jean Gluck (nee Angus) in her 80th year.

Beloved wife and best friend of Douglas Gluck for over 57 years with whom she enjoyed many winters at their Florida home.

Devoted mother of Rhonda Ruta. Loving mother-in-law of Jim Ruta. Cherished grandmother of Abigail Jean Ruta.

Step-Grandmother to Jonathan Ruta (Aimee) and Catherine Ruta.

Sister-in-law to Barbara Inglis, Alan Gluck (Henriette), Donald Gluck (Lois) and Denis Gluck (Rosalyn).

Jean also leaves many nieces and nephews and their children to celebrate her memory.

Jean was predeceased by her parents Walter and Helen Angus, brother Robert Angus and sister Thelma Deacon. Cousin of George Latham. Jean was a "second mom" to many, especially her son-in-law.

She was a gentle soul and the feelings and needs of others always came before her own. She loved her family above all else. Jean felt "wonderful" to become a Catholic in her last days with the help of her friend Father Peter Coughlin. She wanted to be part of the same church, faith and family that included Rhonda, Abigail and Jim. Jean was uplifted by her new faith and knew Jesus was waiting for her.

Everyone who knew her loved her and her kindness, thoughtfulness and gentleness will live on in us forever.

Visitation at the Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, Burlington, on Thursday, October 20th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Friday, October 21st at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation at JBHFoundation.ca are appreciated.
