Garrett EltonGARRETT, Elton Adrian - With great sadness, we announce the passing of Elton Adrian Garrett on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in his 79th year.

Elton was the beloved husband of Jocelyn Garrett and loving dad to his four legged children Brandy, Bailey and Barney.

Adored youngest brother of late Allan, Sheila, Don, Bernie and Graham. Son of late Jacqueline and William Garrett. Loved by his nieces and nephew.

Elton will hold a special place in the hearts of all extended family and friends, particularly Rebecca, Andrew, Sean, Bianca and Claire on whom he had a profound impact.

A longtime resident of Oakville, Elton was an outstanding marathon runner, fitness enthusiast and dedicated community volunteer who touched the hearts of so many. He was also an avid supporter of Canadian sports, particularly the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. Elton will be deeply missed by the love of his life, Jocelyn.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Elton's life will take place in the Springtime in Oakville. Arrangements entrusted with Smith's funeral home, Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to The Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre at Credit Valley Hospital or The Oakville & Milton Humane Society would be much appreciated by the family.
