McAvoy FrancesMcAVOY, Frances - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2017.

Frances was born in Muirkirk, Scotland on January 28, 1928 and immigrated to Canada in September of 1956 to start a new life with her husband John (predeceased) and young family.

Frances was a caring and loving mum to John (Eda) and a proud grandma to the joys in her life, Erin (Eric) and Steven (Dawn), and great-grandson Tyler. Frances will be greatly missed by her sister Aileen and brother Michael (Marie) in Scotland and her nieces and nephews in Scotland, Australia and Canada.

Our sincerest gratitude to the staff at Extendicare Halton Hills for their compassionate care to Frances and support to our family. Thank you to everyone for your kind words over these last few days.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 139 Martin Street, Milton, Ontario, on Wednesday March 15th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of life at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East, Milton.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (www.alzheimer.ca).
